when a child plays, it behaves spontaneously, the movements are constantly reinvented and flow into each other. play gives the little one spiritual nourishment, it recognises and experiences itself, feels happiness and joy, but also discovers its limits. adventures and journeys of discovery in safe play and living spaces, experienced with time and courage, allow children to grow up healthily. when children have achieved something, created something, they want their work to be recognised and praised. this appreciation is essential, because all praise should be genuine, i.e. meant to be.

Wenn ein Kind spielt, verhält es sich spontan, die Bewegungen werden ständig neu erfunden und fließen ineinander. Das Spiel gibt dem Kleinen seelische Nahrung, es erkennt und erlebt sich selbst, empfindet Glück und Freude, entdeckt aber auch seine Grenzen. Mit Zeit und Muße durchlebte Abenteuer und Entdeckungsreisen in sicheren Spiel- und Lebensräumen lassen das Kind gesund heranwachsen. Wenn Kinder etwas geschafft, etwas erschaffen haben, möchten sie, dass ihr Werk wahrgenommen und gelobt wird. Diese Wertschätzung ist essentiell, denn jedes Lob sollte echt, also auch so gemeint sein.

Dorian Pacak, in Keramik und Malerei geübter Visualist verschiedenster Spiel- und Spannungsvariationen, muss um die wahrhaftige Preisung seiner Arbeiten nicht fürchten, zu sehr ist hier erwachsen-analytischer Geist verwachsen mit allerkindlichster Freude an der Entdeckung im und mit dem Spiel. Wenn Johan Huizinga in seiner Abhandlung ‚Homo Ludens‘ das Spiel als Ursprung aller kulturellen Ausformulierungen meint, und dies nicht nur auf Kunst und Philosophie begrenzt, sondern den Gedanken weit hinein auch in das Rechtswesen und die Wissenschaften zieht, hat dieser mit seinem Werk vorweggenommen, was in diesem kleinen, glasierten Boxhandschuh steckt: einfach alles. Und mit der Kraft und der Freude des Kindes in uns möchten wir es natürlich haben. Sofort.
