would you like to introduce yourself briefly?
i was born in munich and therefore carry the mountains and the so-called „munich feeling“ in my heart. i’ve been living in berlin for four years, working as an independent consultant and strategist. i help clients bring their brand message closer to their desired target audience in the digital space and advise on how to turn a product idea into a brand, what storytelling means in today’s multi-channel environment, and how to implement it. it’s a very versatile profession that can be incredibly exhausting at times – but it’s never boring!
what are you working on right now?
currently, i’m working hard on one thing: having a relaxed christmas season. being self-employed, i’m trying to wrap up all my ongoing projects by the end of this year so i don’t end up sitting under the christmas tree with a laptop.
what music are you currently enjoying?
thanks to the christmas season, surprisingly a lot of classical music. for example, tchaikovsky. but also hauschka and nils frahm – and dear mr. sinatra mixes in too.
what’s special for you about this music and mix? surely you have a personal story to tell. what fascinates you about nils frahm, for example?
what fascinates me about nils frahm is simply the way he makes music. how he plays his instruments and especially how many at once. the resulting outcome is invariably impressive. anyone who has the chance to see him live should take it. witnessing how deeply this man dives into what he does is magical.
and tchaikovsky?
tchaikovsky reminds me of my childhood, ballet lessons, and christmas time, so i enjoy listening to it around this time of year. back then, christmas eve felt like light years away when it was early december – and my sister and i eagerly counted the days. today, i think to myself, „already the first advent – how am i going to make it all the way to christmas?“
do you generally spend a lot of time with music?
actually, less. compared to the music nerds in my circle of friends, i’m mercilessly clueless. i listen to a lot of music while working or exercising. and i can truly say: it carries me through the day or my workout. without music, many things would be much harder for me, that’s for sure.
your oldest tonal memory?
my most dreadful childhood memory is of music school, which i hated. or rather, the other children there. which is why i never learned to play an instrument, something i now regret of course. and my very first concert in the ’90s was the spice girls at the olympic stadium in munich. it was madness back then for my sister and me.
and your all-time favorite? track or album?
super hard to decide, but michael jackson has actually been with me my whole life. whether back then in my dad’s car or today. whenever i don’t know what to listen to, i listen to him. and i’m never disappointed.

Magst du dich kurz vorstellen?
Ich bin in München geboren und trage daher die Berge und das so genannte „Münchner Gfühl“ in meinem Herzen. In Berlin lebe ich seit vier Jahren und arbeite als selbstständige Beraterin und Strategin. Ich helfe Kunden dabei, ihre Markenbotschaft im Digitalen ihrer gewünschten Zielgruppe näher zu bringen und berate sie, wie man eine Produktidee überhaupt zu einer Marke machen kann, was Storytelling heutzutage bei so vielen Kanälen eigentlich bedeutet und wie man es umsetzt. Ein sehr vielseitiger Beruf, der manchmal unfassbar anstrengend ist – aber dafür wird es einem nicht langweilig!
Woran arbeitest du gerade?
Momentan arbeite ich angestrengt an einer Sache: eine möglichst entspannte Weihnachtszeit zu haben. Ich bin selbstständig und daher versuche ich all meine laufenden Projekte so gut es geht noch dieses Jahr abzuschließen, um nicht unter dem Weihnachtsbaum mit Rechner zu sitzen.
Was hörst du zur Zeit gerne?
Dank der Weihnachtszeit überraschend viel klassische Musik. Zum Beispiel Tschaikowski. Aber auch Hauschka und Nils Frahm – der liebe Herr Sinatra mischt sich auch mit rein.
Was ist das Besondere für dich an dieser Musik und Mischung? Dazu hast du doch bestimmt eine persönliche Geschichte zu erzählen. Was fasziniert dich zum Beispiel an Nils Frahm?
An Nils Frahm fasziniert mich schlicht die Art und Weise, wie er Musik macht. Wie er seine Instrumente spielt und vor allem wie viele gleichzeitig. Das dabei entstehende Ergebnis ist ausnahmslos beeindruckend. Wer die Chance hat ihn live zu sehen, der sollte sie nutzen. Zu sehen, wie tief dieser Mann in das, was er tut eintaucht, ist magisch.
Und Tschaikowski?
Tschaikowski erinnert mich an meine Kindheit, Ballettunterricht und die Weihnachtszeit, daher höre ich es um die Jahreszeit immer wieder gerne. Der Heiligabend war damals gefühlte Lichtjahre entfernt, wenn es Anfang Dezember war – und meine Schwester und ich haben sehnsüchtig die Tage gezählt. Heute denke ich mir: „Schon der erste Advent – wie soll ich das alles nur bis Weihnachten schaffen?“
Verbringst du generell viel Zeit mit Musik?
Eigentlich weniger. Wenn ich mich mit den Musiknerds aus meinem Freundeskreis vergleiche, bin ich gnadenlos ahnungslos. Ich höre viel Musik während meiner Arbeit oder beim Sport. Und da kann ich wahrlich sagen: Sie trägt mich durch den Tag oder meine Laufeinheit. Ohne Musik würde mir vieles viel schwerer fallen, das steht fest.
Deine älteste tonale Erinnerung?
Grauenhafteste Kindheitserinnerung an die Musikschule, die ich gehasst habe. Besser gesagt die anderen Kinder dort. Weshalb ich selbst nie ein Instrument gelernt habe, was ich nun natürlich total bereue. Und mein allererstes Konzert waren in den 90ern die Spice Girls im Olympiastadion München. Das war der Wahnsinn damals für meine Schwester und mich.
Und dein All-time-favourite? Track oder Album?
Super schwer zu entscheiden, aber Michael Jackson begleitet mich tatsächlich schon mein ganzes Leben. Ob damals bei meinem Dad im Auto oder heute. Immer, wenn ich nicht weiß, was ich hören soll, dann höre ich ihn. Und werde dabei nie enttäuscht.
